Prepare the documents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First you need to gather all the required documentation, which varies according to your type of permit <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.waitaly.net\/en\/the-residence-permit-for-study-purposes\/\">(study<\/a>, work, <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.waitaly.net\/en\/family-reunification-procedure\/\">family reunification<\/a>, pending employment, and so on).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to renew a student residence permit, for example, it is necessary to submit a &#8220;certification of passing at least one proficiency exam for the 1st renewal,&#8221; that is, proof of having passed at least one university exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find the list of documents required by type of residence permit on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portaleimmigrazione.it\/ITA\/percittadiniextracomunitari.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Immigration Portal<\/a> website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.
