Today we want to mischievously tempt those who, thinking of summer, are sacrificing themselves for the swimsuit test. Surely, after reading this article they will rush off to find the nearest pastry shop to the park where they go running.
\nAs with anything related to cooking, Italy could not fail to excel when it comes to desserts as well. Italian pastry is world-renowned and holds an immense heritage of recipes of indisputable value. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Tiramisu<\/h2>\n

Where can we start? From Tiramisu, certainly. Did you know that “Tiramisu” is the fifth best known word in Italian cuisine abroad, the first for desserts. The dessert itself is also known of course, not just the word. It is known for its goodness, for its sweet texture and freshness, for the aroma of coffee<\/a> that accompanies it. <\/p>\n

The Panna Cotta<\/h2>\n

Staying with the theme of spoon desserts, Panna Cotta comes to mind. Great for any time of day because it is so simple that you can make it right away, as soon as we start to get “slightly peckish.” Just a touch is enough to make it special because you can combine it with red fruit sauce, caramel or better … Nutella, another Italian excellence. <\/p>\n

The cannoli<\/h2>\n

The kings of Sicilian pastry: Sicilian cannoli are among the most famous desserts in the world, and not only for Italian-American cinematography. The first to mention them was even Cicero, in 70 B.C., who during a trip to the land of Sicily was captivated by a “Tubus farinarius dulcissimo edulio ex lacte fartus<\/em>,” or a tube of flour filled with soft milk cream. This sounds like a description of the ancestor of the beloved cannolo. <\/p>\n

La Tenerina<\/h2>\n

And dulcis in fundo, La Tenerina or “Torta Taclenta” the dialect name used in the Ferrara area that literally means “sticky cake.” It is also called the Queen Cake of Montenegro or Montenegrina: it was apparently dedicated to Elena Petrovich of Montenegro wife of Victor Emmanuel III. This cake has everything a true sweet tooth looks for in a dessert: chocolate, butter, sugar and, if you want to treat yourself, even a nice little cloud of whipped cream. <\/p>\n

For those living in Italy<\/a>, it is easy to find the best place in town to taste these and other delicacies. For tourists<\/a>, on the other hand, we recommend studying<\/a> the map well and visiting the sites closest to the most famous pastry shops so you kill two birds with one stone. <\/p>\n
