Rome, May 8, 2025 – In the prestigious setting of the Venezuelan Embassy in Rome, Welcome Association Italy had the honor of meeting with Dr. Uzzo, Charge d’Affaires of the Venezuelan Embassy. A meeting marked by an atmosphere of great cordiality and openness, in which issues of crucial importance to WAI such as inclusion, integration and support for Venezuelan students present in Italy were addressed. <\/p>\n\n
Dr. Uzzo welcomed with extreme willingness and attention the proposals put forward by Welcome Association Italy, demonstrating a sincere openness to dialogue and a strong interest in the initiatives that the association is pursuing. A constructive dialogue that allowed to lay the foundations for a lasting collaboration, oriented to create synergies on several fronts, starting with the project on women empowerment in the diplomatic field, which will feature prominent women on the international scene. <\/p>\n\n
“Yesterday’s meeting was a very enriching moment for Welcome Association Italy,” said Carlo Palumbo, Deputy Secretary General of WAI. “The attention and willingness shown by the Venezuelan Embassy confirm that we are on the right path to create paths of integration that can support and enhance the Venezuelan community in Italy, offering concrete opportunities to make these young people feel less alone and more integrated in our country.” <\/p>\n\n
During the colloquium, the willingness to develop joint projects emerged, especially with a view to welcoming and supporting Venezuelan students, with the aim of facilitating their path of integration in Italy and promoting intercultural dialogue.<\/p>\n\n
“Dr. Uzzo has shown great interest in the project on women’s empowerment in diplomacy, which will be one of the central events on our calendar. This is an important signal that confirms the willingness to build solid and proactive institutional relations,” Palumbo concluded.<\/p>\n\n
