Mirjana Jeremi\u0107, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Rome<\/strong>, for the kind invitation and for promoting a moment of such high cultural, institutional and human value. The evening confirmed the central role of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Rome as a place for dialogue, meeting and promotion of Serbian culture in Italy. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event offered an important opportunity to learn more about <strong>Milo\u0161 Crnjanski<\/strong>, a writer, poet, playwright, essayist, journalist and diplomat. His personal and intellectual life traversed some of Europe&#8217;s major cities, from Vienna to Berlin, Rome to Lisbon and London, until his final return to Belgrade. His work was deeply marked by the experience of war, exile, travel and memory, themes that still make his writing an intense testimony to 20th-century European history.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Particularly significant in the context of the initiative was the reference to the connection between Crnjanski and Rome. The Italian capital represented not only a biographical stage, but a place of the soul and inspiration. In fact, between 1939 and 1941 Crnjanski lived in Rome as press attach\u00e9 at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, an experience that left a deep imprint on his literary production and his vision of Europe.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Works such as <strong>&#8220;At the Hyperboreans,&#8221;<\/strong> <strong>&#8220;The Embajades,&#8221;<\/strong> <strong>&#8220;Love in Tuscany&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;The Book on Michelangelo&#8221;<\/strong> testify, in different forms, to the writer&#8217;s relationship with Italy, with Renaissance culture, with diplomatic memory and with the spiritual dimension of the Eternal City. Remembering Crnjanski in Rome, therefore, means enhancing a cultural heritage that unites Serbia and Italy through literature, history, art and beauty. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speakers during the evening included <strong>H.E. Mirjana Jeremi\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Nenad \u0160aponja<\/strong>, Director of the Cultural Center of Vojvodina &#8220;Milo\u0161 Crnjanski,&#8221; <strong>Mila Mihajlovi\u0107<\/strong>, historian, and <strong>Olga Krasi\u0107 Marjanovi\u0107<\/strong>, author of the exhibition. The meeting was also enriched by a musical interlude with <strong>Dragana Moles<\/strong>, opera singer, accompanied on piano by <strong>Kristina Milovanovi\u0107<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through literature, music and art, the initiative restored to the public the complexity and relevance of an author capable of traversing his time with European sensitivity, cultural depth and strong belonging to the Serbian tradition. The evening was also a valuable moment of encounter between institutions, communities and associative realities, confirming the value of culture as a bridge of friendship and cooperation between peoples. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Carlo Palumbo, Deputy National Secretary of Welcome Association Italy<\/strong>, said:<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I would like to extend, on behalf of Welcome Association Italy, sincere and heartfelt thanks to H.E. Mirjana Jeremi\u0107 and the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Rome for the welcome invitation and for promoting such a high-profile cultural initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The evening dedicated to Milo\u0161 Crnjanski was a valuable moment of knowledge, memory and friendship between Italy and Serbia. Crnjanski is a figure who speaks to the whole of Europe: writer, diplomat, man of the twentieth century, witness of travels, exiles, encounters and transformations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remembering him in Rome means enhancing not only his connection with the Eternal City, but also the role of culture as a common space, capable of bringing peoples, institutions and communities closer together.
