Welcome Association Italy signs a Memorandum of Understanding with ASVI – Association of Vietnamese Students in Italy

Rome, Sept. 19, 2025 – The official signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Association of Vietnamese Students in Italy (ASVI) and Welcome Association Italy (WAI) was held today at the Embassy of Vietnam in Rome.

The agreement was created with the aim of strengthening cooperation on behalf of Vietnamese and international students by creating new opportunities for practical support: from academic and health guidance services to cultural and social inclusion initiatives.

For Welcome Association Italy signed Carlo Palumbo, Deputy National Secretary, who said:

“This signing represents an important step in strengthening ties between our entities. In recent years we have built a relationship of esteem and collaboration with ASVI, and today we give official form to this path, laying the groundwork for new initiatives to support Vietnamese students and the international community in Italy. We are honored by the Ambassador’s endorsement, which adds further value to this moment.”

The ceremony was attended by ASVI President Vu Thi Bich Diep, who emphasized that the agreement represents “a starting point to jointly develop new projects for inclusion and growth for Vietnamese students in Italy.”

The Memorandum enshrines a collaboration that will feature young people, fostering academic and social integration and strengthening cultural ties between Italy and Vietnam.
