Welcome Association Italy to the Sino-Italian Dialogue on Urban Civilization 2025
Rome, Sept. 28, 2025 – Welcome Association Italy participated in the Sino-Italian Dialogue on Urban Civilization 2025, a prestigious international conference on the theme of “Continuity of Civilization and Urban Civilization,” held in Rome with the participation of the Vice Minister of Economy of the People’s Republic of China, influential figures from theEmbassy of the People’s Republic of China in Italy, and HRH Prince, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Italy, along with numerous institutional, academic and diplomatic representatives from both countries.
The initiative, sponsored by Renmin University of China, Communication University of China, ICLA – Italy-China Link Association and Luiss University, provided a high-level opportunity to foster dialogue among academics, institutions and diplomats on crucial issues such as cultural cooperation, sustainable urban development and the enhancement of civilizations in the global context.
A platform for international dialogue
The program included:
- Opening remarks by Chinese and Italian institutional figures;
- Academic reports on urban civilization and innovative governance;
- The presentation of the new Italy-China Joint Center for City Civilization;
- Two panel discussions devoted to cultural heritage and sustainable development of cities.
Among the protagonists were international scholars and leaders such as Lin Shangli (Renmin University of China), Wang Hui (Communication University of China), Raffaele Marchetti (Luiss), Stefano Boeri (Politecnico di Milano), as well as numerous Italian and Chinese institutional representatives.
