An institutional presence to enhance the role of social welfare in Italy’s future
On October 7, 2025, at the Lateran Palace in Rome, Welcome Association Italy (WAI) took part as an institutional guest at the event “Welfare Index PMI Lazio 2025,” dedicated to the dissemination of sustainable and inclusive welfare models.
The initiative, which brought together representatives from the institutional, academic and social worlds, was an important opportunity to discuss the new challenges and opportunities of welfare in Italy.
Social welfare as a vision of the future
WAI’s participation stems from the recognition of welfare not only as a set of economic or corporate measures, but as a tool for social cohesion, participation and shared growth.

- reception and integration of international students;
- Equitable access to health, information and protection services;
- Supporting university and social life through an active and supportive community;
- collaborations with agencies, universities and institutions to promote a more welcoming, equitable and culturally open Italy.
