Welcome Association Italy to the LXXX National Assembly of ELSA Italy

WAI brought institutional greetings at the opening conference devoted to legality, territory and labor.

Latina, May 7, 2026 – Welcome Association Italy took part in the opening conference of the LXXX National Assembly of ELSA Italy, hosted at the “Enzo De Pasquale” Hall of the City of Latina in Piazza del Popolo.

ELSA, The European Law Students’ Association, is an international organization that brings together students and young legal professionals, promoting education, discussion and professional growth in the legal field. The National Assembly represents one of the main moments of meeting and participation for the association’s Italian network.

The meeting, entitled “Legality, Territory and Work: young people as an engine of development,” was an important moment of confrontation between institutions, professionals, associations and young students, with the aim of reflecting on the role of the new generations in the processes of social, cultural and professional growth of the country.

In occasione dell’evento, Welcome Association Italy ha portato i propri saluti istituzionali e ha presentato la propria attività a supporto dei cittadini stranieri che scelgono l’Italia per la loro formazione universitaria.

“Those who come to Italy from abroad to study not only represent a person to be accompanied, but also a resource for universities, territories and the country. As Welcome Association Italy we want to continue to work so that Italy is increasingly attractive, organized and able to enhance international talent,” said Carlo Palumbo, representing Welcome Association Italy.

During the speech, the value of reception as a path made up of orientation, clarity and accompaniment was emphasized. In fact, WAI works to make the procedures related to entry and stay in Italy more understandable, offering a reliable point of reference to international students and foreign nationals dealing with administrative, documentary and organizational fulfillments.

Particular attention has been paid to three key directions: the need to provide clear and accessible information, the strengthening of the network between universities, institutions, associations and diplomatic representations, and the development of digital tools that can concretely support those arriving from abroad to build their path in Italy.

The theme chosen by ELSA Italy connects deeply with WAI’s mission. Legality, territory and work are in fact central dimensions also in the paths of integration and growth of international students, who represent an important resource for universities, local communities and the future of the country.

Welcome Association Italy would like to thank ELSA Italy and ELSA Rome for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to a moment of discussion dedicated to young people, legal education and territorial development.

WAI will continue to work to make Italy a country that is increasingly welcoming, organized and able to enhance the talents that come from all over the world.
